You Can Trust us with Your Eye Health
One of the reasons our patients come back to us year after year is that they have come to appreciate having the most thorough eye examination possible.
What To Expect for Your Eye Exam
Review of your ocular and medical history, including any medications you take
Computerized measurement of refractive error (glasses prescription)
Automated visual field (peripheral vision) testing
Glaucoma screening test
Measurement of visual acuity (sharpness)
Evaluation of pupils and extraocular muscles
Manual measurement and fine-tuning of glasses prescription
Fitting or evaluation of contact lenses
External eye health examination, including use of the biomicroscope, or 'slit lamp', for a highly magnified view of the structures of the front of the eye
Evaluation of the internal structures of the eye, where we can often see changes to the retina and blood vessels that can help with the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases and can indicate some systemic diseases
Dilating drops may be recommended to allow for the most thorough evaluation of the internal structures
Eye Exam Commitment
We take the time to ensure that you receive the most thorough exam possible, and that you fully understand everything that is found during your examination before you leave. If you demonstrate a need for vision correction, we will assist you with the next steps whether it’s eyeglasses, sunwear, contact lenses or refractive surgery.
The health of your eyes and visual system is related to many systemic conditions - such as diabetes and high blood pressure - is far too important to us to rush you through the exam process.
